Edward Zienkowski
Edward Zienkowski, born in Lublin (Poland), studied in Poland and Germany. Numerous prizes at international competitions. Since 1981 solo career with concerts all over Europe, the USA and Japan; recordings of all famous violin concerts. His repertory reaches from the works by Bach up to contemporary composers. 1979-82 member of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, 1982-92 concertmaster of the WDR Köln, since 1985 concertmaster of the festival orchestra Bayreuth. Since 1992 professor and head of a violin concert class at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna.
