Information on the Master Classes Winter 2025

 

Participation Terms and Conditions for the Winter Master Classes of Wiener MusikSeminar

Our Offer for In-person Master Classes and Online Master Classes
* Each performing participant is guaranteed a minimum of 4 hours (60 minutes each) of lessons.
* Accompaniment for instrumental and singing lessons is provided free of charge for in-person master classes (note: accompanists are not available for online master classes)."
* Listeners or observing participants may apply in consultation with the organizer.
* Participants may observe other participants' lessons with the professor's approval.
* Interpreters (Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Russian) and visa applications are available for an additional fee (see "Fees").
* Course Location: University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.

Practice Rooms
* Piano students will have access to practice rooms at Mynext Hotel Rudy free of charge for approximately one hour per day, subject to availability.
* Reservations for practice rooms can be made at Mynext Hotel Rudy. Other students may practice in their hotel rooms at Mynext Hotel Rudy.
* Additional practice rooms can be booked at Klavier Galerie at the participant's own expense.

Concerts
* Wiener MusikSeminar organizes three concerts: two class concerts and one final concert. All concerts are held at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.
* Only students recommended by their professor are eligible to perform in the concerts. All Wiener MusikSeminar concerts are open to the public and free of charge.

Diplomas
* Performing participants will receive a diploma upon completion of the course.
* Listeners and observing participants may request a letter of confirmation if needed.

General Conditions
* Applicants wishing to take lessons with a specific professor should register promptly. Applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
* Course changes are only possible with the organizer s approval and subject to availability.
* Each applicant should prepare at least three pieces by different composers (except for singing master classes, where an appropriate selection of pieces should be prepared).
* The lesson schedule will be arranged with the professor on the first day of the course.
* Course Start: Participants will meet for the Orientation session on 19th February 2025 at 9:00 a.m. at Mynext Hotel Rudy (1040 Wien, Schelleingasse 36 / Schoenburgstrasse 29). Afterward, the group will proceed to the University of Music and Performing Arts, where the lesson rooms are located. Most professors will begin their master classes on the same day, 19th February 2025.
* Highly talented children and adolescents are welcome to participate; however, adult supervision is required for younger participants.

Media and Privacy
* Wiener MusikSeminar reserves the right to use photos and videos from the master classes for marketing purposes (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, website). Please contact us if you have any concerns.
* We process personal data (e.g., name, address, email, telephone number) in compliance with the GDPR (EU) 2016/679 and only use this information for the intended purpose. Fees
Registration Fee: Each participant is required to pay a registration fee of 195 euros, which applies to all Winter Course 2025 master classes.
Course Fee: Participants must pay 598 euros for each master class they enroll in.

Additional Fees:

Interpreters for Japanese, Chinese, Korean, or Russian can be booked at a fee of 180 euros per course.
Participants requiring a travel visa to attend the master class must pay a visa application fee of 95 euros.

Refund Policy
* Course fees and interpreter fees are eligible for refunds under the following conditions (registration fees are refundable only in cases 2 and 3):

1.    Force majeure
2.    Course cancellation by the management
3.    No remaining availability in the course

- If participants cancel their registration no later than 5 weeks before the course start date, 100% of the course fee, as well as any accommodation or interpreter fees, will be refunded.
 ?If they cancel no later than 3 weeks before the course start date, 50% of these fees will be refunded.
- Cancellations made within the last 3 weeks before the course start date are non-refundable.

Registration

- Registration is open until 5th January 2025.
- The registration fee (195 euros) must be paid immediately upon registration.

Online Master Classes
We offer our International Master Classes Winter 2025 online, running parallel to the in-person master classes at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna from 19th to 28th February 2025. * Each participant receives 4 hours (60 minutes each) of lessons via Zoom (09:00 17:00 Austria s time zone, with adjustments for participants' time zones).
* Accompanists are not provided.
* A separate Orientation Event will be held for online participants with detailed instructions at the beginning of the winter master classes.
* Diplomas will be sent by e-mail after the class. (postal mail or email?)
* For optimal sound quality, we recommend using a microphone along with a laptop or PC.
* Lessons are conducted via Zoom: https://zoom.us.

Payment and Bank Account
* We cannot confirm the registration fee separately. Participants will receive a confirmation via email only after all fees (registration fee, course fee, and any additional fees for interpreters or visa applications) have been received.
* All payments must be made in (EURO) and marked as 'free of charge for the recipient' prior to the start of the master class. Any transfer fees charged to Wiener MusikSeminar (e.g., bank transfer fees) must be settled by the participant on the first course day during the Orientation session.
* Credit cards and personal checks are not accepted.
