Greeting Message from the Federal President and Patronage
Often it is the small, fine things that, in sum, amount to something big and precious.
In this way, also the “Wiener MusikSeminar” is a jewel that has, meanwhile for five decades, substantially contributed to establishing Vienna as an international city of music and, in a broader sense, helped to bestow honor on Austria as a world-class cultural nation.
With a lot of dedication, creativity, and competence but first and foremost with great enthusiasm and the necessary sense for developments this institution has turned into an internationally acclaimed educational platform for junior music talents.
Since its foundation in 1970, about 13,000 music students have attended the “Wiener MusikSeminar” and have come to consider this opportunity an important, if not the most important, step in their artistic careers.
Many of the former promising talents are now performing on the big stages of the world, cheered by their audiences. This is reason enough to rejoice and express appreciation. I would, therefore, like to take this opportunity to extend my sincere thanks to everyone involved in making this possible.
I am convinced that also in the future the “Wiener MusikSeminar” will continue to act as an important Austrian institution in the international music scene.
In this sense, I send my warmest regards to the “Wiener MusikSeminar” and wish it all the best for the future.
The Federal President of the Republic of Austria
Wiener MusikSeminar would like to thank for the patronage and thus the confidence placed in us.
