Sontraud Speidel

Studied with Irene Slavin, Yvonne Loriod-Messiaen, Branka Musulin, Stefan Askenase and Géza Anda. Prizewinner in international competitions. Active as soloist, chamber musician, teacher of masterclasses and jury member in all continents. Numerous recordings in radio and on CD. Professor for piano at the University of Music Karlsruhe. Besides other distinctions she received the Bundesverdienstkreuz der Bundesrepublik Deutschland (National award of Germany) in 2005. Her students win regularly prizes in competitions; some are regularly concertizing pianists.
